In Budget 2018, the Government announced an investment of $10 million over five years for the Mental Health Commission of Canada to help assess the impact of cannabis use on the mental health of Canadians, and a further $10 million over five years to the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction to support research on cannabis use in Canada. These initiatives will help inform future policy development.
