Kim Kang-guk took his first step on the professional stage by joining Incheon United in 2019 after going through Mattango-Incheon University. The following year, he was loaned to Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, at the call of head coach Park Dong-hyuk, and moved completely ahead of the 2022 season.


Kim Kang-guk, who has been playing for Asan, Chungcheongnam-do since 2020, currently has eight points and eight assists in 100 games. Among them, he played 97 games in the uniform of Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, adding to this record.


Kim Kang-guk, who marks his fifth year as a professional this year, has become an indispensable pillar in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. As an all-weather midfielder with a wide view, he plays a decisive role in the team's victory with active participation in offense and accurate kick power as well as a bridge between offense and defense. In particular, in the 27th round of the 2021 season against Busan, he scored a dramatic come-from-behind goal in the extra time of the second half to prove his value.


In addition, Kim Kang-guk is called the housekeeper of Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, playing more than 30 games every season except for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. This season, he is the only player on the team to play in all games and play an average of about 95 minutes per game, practically close to full-time.
